Pressure System
Start monitors your system resources and throttles agent activity to prevent overload.
Running multiple agents in parallel can be demanding. The pressure system monitors your machine's resources and automatically adjusts how many agents can run at once.

Pressure levels
| Level | What happens |
|---|---|
| Nominal | Full capacity — up to 3 concurrent agent sessions |
| Fair | Moderate load — reduced to 2 sessions |
| Serious | High load — 1 session only, sub-agent delegation disabled |
| Critical | System overloaded — all agent generation paused |
When pressure decreases, normal operation resumes automatically.
What's monitored
- CPU and memory — The primary indicators. Sustained high usage increases pressure.
- Thermal state — If your CPU is thermally throttled, pressure goes up.
- Power mode — Battery saver mode reports higher pressure to conserve resources.
Interaction with other features
- Autopilot respects pressure when deciding how many tasks to run concurrently. At critical pressure, autopilot pauses entirely.
- Scheduled jobs are deferred when pressure is critical.
- You'll receive a notification at critical levels. With Telegram, the alert goes to your phone too.
